Russia and CIS

SPS International was retained by a market leading multinational chemical company to search for a Vice President to work in Russia and CIS, the task was 'to manage a successful international chemical business and take it forward to the next level'.

After an exacting and detailed consultation with the President of EMEA, and its Vice President of Human Resources, SPS International researched the region and mapped out the company's competitors' key personnel. Then, with a detailed briefing in mind, SPS networked through its extensive array of contacts to deliver a shortlist of eight candidates. These candidates included some of the most respected captains of industry in Russia, all of whom were working for major global companies in the chemical industries sector.

Following the first round of interviews, our clients were so impressed that they wanted to take six candidates forward to second interview to meet with the Chairman and his senior management team. This completed, the Chairman then went on to request that the list be reduced to three candidates - with whom he subsequently met - before finally selecting his perfect candidate to take the business forward to the next level.

The successful candidate (previously The General Director of Europe for a global chemical company) accepted the offer and is expected to take up the position early in 2009.
